Day Of The Dead 2013

In honor of the Day of the Dead today... better known, in our book, as All-Souls Day... and also called, down there, in Mexico, where it is referred to, actually, as El Dia de Los Muertos...

We, at the lugubrious blog, offer you, for the first
(and most probably last, too)
 time ever... a movie!

A movie about the dead...

Not the dead as we know them to be -
but the dead as Hollywood thinks them to be apt
and able to rake in massive audiences...

Because who would pay to see a film
about our dead ancestors
simply happy to be remembered,
ghostly but there, benevolent
as they are looking over you
as you flock over to the cemetery
in adoring droves (rather than tearful)
bringing the deceased's favorite dish
which is left on the tombstone
and swiftly pilfered the moment you leave
by gypsies, drifters or other bums
just waiting around for a free meal
on this day or couple of days...?

(Actually, in Christian-devout Portugal,
O Dia Dos Mortos
is the occasion to outright GIFT
one of them poor bums out there;
you either feed them
or dress them up
-from head to toe, yeah;
new clothes and new shoes-
all in the name of
and in the memory of
your dearly beloved
deceased one...
NOW THAT MAKES SENSE!
Viva Portugal -
mesmo na Morte!)

But here in movieland, if the dead are evil
and vengeful dead, to boot,
(and there are plenty of such dead souls, too,
out there, somewhere - indeed)
and they come back in the flesh
(even though a rotten and decaying one)
any two-bit Roger Corman wannabee will say
''GOLD!''
and roll out (minimal) financing
for shooting to begin...!
The return on investment
(for this sort of return of the dead)
is very nearly guaranteed
each and every time...!

And another z-movie is born...

With all that in mind,
we present now our feature presentation...

Enjoy...?

And if that didn't work out for you...
Or even play...

You can try this
and this
or even this...

Or...

Try looking for it all by yourself!

Oh, and for those who have no idea what in blue blazes ''SASAAOA'' might possibly stand for...

It's one of my other blogs, part of the world-famous TLB Prime Network, see?

It stands for Sequential Art, Seventh Art And Other Arts which was, lo, some time ago, officially my thirty-third created and still active blog out there... Yup...

It is, usually, where I would have posted something such as the preceding, which is more about terrible motion pictures production rather than about the ever-fascinating afterlife...

Given the subject-matter, however, and the date coinciding so well and all, it was published HERE instead!

Enjoy!

*Ughhhhhhh...*

(Not a living dead zombie growl, at all; just me in the morning...)

This is a bit too early, in the morning indeed, for such tasteless fare, for me anyways...

It no longer is ''the day of the dead'' anyways - that was yesterday!

Thanks for the personal notification of an update (finally - it's about TIME!) to thy very lugubrious blog there, though!

Meh!

I'll watch it later... maybe... with some extra-buttery salty pop corn and toxic cola on stand-by... Who wants to live forever, EH?

Right NOW though, I'd rather watch me some PORN though!
;-D

ROTFLMBO

You might DIE of a double though-zzze there, ah, though...

So... Caution!
Just my advice, that's all...

Enjoy!
