*Everyone* Lives Forever

 

You sure can be embarrassed, 

DANNY BOY...! 

"Oingo Boingo" was an odd name for the band 

to begin with, of course - 

but the embarrassment here is solely due 

to the title and lyrics of this one song: 

"No One Lives Forever," 

really? 

THAT'S A LIE! 

And you all, surely, must know by now 

that it is a boldface lie, too...

BEYOND FAITH IN AN AFTERLIFE 

AND IN ETERNITY ~ ETERNAL LIFE 

WITH GOD, IN A PARADISE 

THAT CAN BE EITHER SOMEWHERE ELSE 

OR RIGHT HERE ON EARTH - ON A NEW EARTH 

what do you know... haven't you heard... learned, yes, 

that SCIENCE has got it that no form of energy 

ever truly dissipates completely, into nothingness 

--- THAT SIMPLY NEVER HAPPENS! 

Meaning that the Life Force, this energy that 

animates you... me... each and everyone of us... 

that energy does not die. It goes on. 

IT GOES ON FOREVER! 

The damnable song should be titled 

"No One Lives Forever In This World" 

- make the distinction, underline the nuance! 

However, these Oingo Boingo clowns err 

not just in that, to tell the truth - 

they're mistaken in the rhymes they make, 

in the assumption that there's partying 

for dead men - or dead women - and 

that it is the kind of partying they were doing 

right here, on this lousy planet, in 1985! 

Their slightly overgrown teenaged brains 

could not conceive of the kind of partying 

SOULS are having post ASCENSION... 

It's another level of partying. 

One that their successors tried to conjure up 

when they came up with RAVES - 

but they failed miserably too, there! 

That's another sad story... for another blog. 

Now I want you (Danny Boy too) 

to do the only sensible thing there is to do: 

listen to that damn song and CORRECT IT, 

in your mind or out loud! 

COMPLETE IT - each time - when the 

chorus strikes "No One Lives Forever..." 

WITH "...In This World!" 

Correcting the whole damn thing would be... 

a waste of time now. 

But, at least, that chorus - and title.
