his doctor and a government official confirmed Saturday,

highlighting the risks of a recent groundbreaking US operation.

Li Guoxing, 32, died in July at his rural home in rugged southwestern China

after forsaking immune-system drugs in favor of herbal medicine,

L'animatrice et chroniqueuse Valérie Letarte
meurt du cancer à 47 ans
MONTREAL _ L'animatrice et chroniqueuse Valérie Letarte est décédée, dimanche, à l'âge de 47 ans, a rapporté Radio-Canada. Elle était atteinte d'un cancer.
Mme Letarte a animé les émissions "275-allô" et "Ados-radio" de 2003 à 2007 à la Première Chaîne de Radio-Canada. Elle a aussi été chroniqueuse culturelle à l'émission "C'est bien meilleur le matin", à la même chaîne, de 1998 a 2003.
Elle a également travaillé pour les stations CKOI-FM, CFGL-FM, CKVL-AM et FM 93. A la télévision, elle a été chroniqueuse à l'émission "Salut Bonjour" à TVA et au "Grand Journal" de TQS.
Mme Letarte laisse dans le deuil son fils Pavel.
